According to Forever-Fantasy the games called Final Fantasy IV DS and Infinite Undiscovery should be released in PAL countries this day. They posted that it would happen today yesterday ( can anyone still follow this?), so I presume soul is right. This means us Europians finally have a chance to try out the great FFIV remake and the first next gen product made by Square Enix.
John Yamamoto, president and chief executive officer of Square Enix Ltd. comments:
“FINAL FANTASY IV is one of the most significant titles in the history of the FINAL FANTASY franchise. It has been remarkably enhanced for the Nintendo DS, making it a great opportunity for our fans to experience its deep story and ground-breaking battle system in an exciting and innovative new way”.

The latest issue of OPM features a rumor that says Kingdom Hearts III will be revealed as a PlayStation 3 exclusive during TGS 2008. This is the exact quote:
“Kingdom Hearts III is currently in development as a PS3 exclusive and will be announced at TGS.”
Time will tell if it’s actually true, but one thing’s for sure - This year’s TGS is going to be very interesting!

Square Enix has updated the official website of Dissidia Final Fantasy and released brand new gameplay footage which was shown at DKS3713. The footage is actually a battle between Tidus and Jecht, I personally enjoyed it.
- Go to: Watch trailer at the official website
Please note that in order to watch the trailer you must wait for the website to load, click on the “MOVIE” button (second from the right) and then choose the movie on the right.
The video has been youtubed by NeoGAF user reminder, thanks!

Square Enix offered to take over Tecmo, a Japanese company that’s currently having a lot of problems. If you followed all the latest news, you already know that Tecmo’s “Team Ninja”, the team that worked on the Ninja Gaiden franchise, no longer works for the company.
Square Enix’s plan is to purchase a controlling amount of shares in Tecmo at ¥960 a share (while the official price as of yesterday is ¥706 a share). Tecmo’s board of directors has until September 4 to approve this request, and in case they refuse Square Enix will withdraw their offer.

The first Infinite Undiscovery review was published by gaming website IGN, and it doesn’t seems like Hilary Goldstein, the reviewer, likes tri-Ace’s new game:
“You probably shouldn’t judge a game by its title, but in all honestly, Infinite Undiscovery tells you everything you need to know. It only half makes sense — and only when you squint your brain. That is the design approach in a nutshell. Some of the choices tri-Ace made don’t make a whole lot of sense, but you can certainly play through some of the gaffes. This isn’t a game marred with horrendous bugs or unplayable combat. And it’s not boring. It’s just misguided. The story is intriguing enough that RPG fanatics should at least give this a rental. Considering it’s on the short side for a Square-Enix RPG, you shouldn’t have trouble beating it in a week.”
The game received a total of 7.1 out of 10, which is pretty disappointing considering tri-Ace’s success last generation. You shouldn’t rule it out just yet, though, and I’ll make sure to keep you up-to-date with any other Infinite Undiscovery reviews.
As some of you might have noticed due to the absence of news post, I’m away on holidays, with almostn o acces to a computer. Right now I am in Italy, and I’ll leave to France Thursday. i will be back Saturday ( not the next but the one after). ill then turn to Savior of the Damned (forums) for any issues you encounter
Our good friends over at Forever-Fantasty managed to get their hands on the first trailer for the Nintendo DS remake of Chrono Trigger. It just seems to introduce the characters, and it shows some battle screens. The graphics don’t seem to have improved much, and I haven’t seen use of the second DS screen yet. View it by clicking Here! or just look at it down here:
It began as a rumor and was confirmed along the way: The dream of many Square Enix fans has finally come true. The company has just announced that a Chrono Trigger remake will be coming to the Nintendo DS. The remake is to be released sometime during Winter, 2008.
