Final Fantasy 9 follows main protagonist Zidane, who is destined to rescue Gaia from QUeen Brahne, a queen who is to start wars with every neighbouring country. Her daughter, Princess Garnett, doesn't trust het mother anymore and asks Zidane to kidnap her from the castle. Together they embark on a lifesaving journy.
