Through out the world of Final Fantasy VIII are various magazines that, when discovered, grant the party certain items or abilities. Listed are the magazines, their purpose, and where they can be found.
Weapons Monthly Magazine
Weapons Monthly grants the party the ability to upgrade their weapons. Each new issue introduces stronger weapons and includes a description of the weapon as well as the Gil and items required to remodel it.

Pet Pals
Pet Pals are used to teach Rinoa's dog, Angelo, new tricks. The tricks are activated by the magazine and learned when the party walks around for a certain amount of time.
