Final Fantasy 6 Releases

Console: SNES - 02/04/1994 11/10/1994

Final Fantasy 6 was only released as VI in Japan. Before Square Released it in America they made some changes to the game, such as name changes (Stragus = Strago, Fenix Down = Phoenix Down), but they also released it as Final Fantasy 3 in America. In later releases it would be called VI again. They did this because Final Fantasy 2,3 and 5 were not released outside Japan.

Final Fantasy Anthology

Console: Playstation 17/05/2002 - 30/09/1999

Just like explained at Final Fantasy 5, Final Fantasy 6 was released in the package Final Fantasy Anthology in North America, alongside Final Fantasy 5, but it was not released in Europe yet, because in Europe Anthology contained Final Fantasy 4 and 5.

Final Fantasy 6 Advance

Console: GBA 29/06/2007 30/11/2006 05/02/2007

The gameboy version of this games also includes new music, graphics overhaul and a Bestiary, just like the other ones, but it also includes several FF3 bug fixes, as well as new Espers (Leviathan, Gilgamesh, Cactuar, and Diabolos), as well as the new Dragon Den, with a new boss, and to complete it it has the Soul Shrine. It also contains several new spells.
