Final Fantasy 4 was, just like Final Fantasy 6, released as Final Fantasy 2 in North America. They left the game fairly intact for the USA gamers, but they did tweak the setting, to make things more easy for the beggining gamers. They have also removed Kain' s history, and Zeromus' motivation, because they had not enough space. These things woulnd' t come back untill Advanced

Final Fantasy Chronicles

Final Fantasy IV made it' s debute in NA under it' s original name in Final Fantasy Chronicles, alongside Chrono Trigger. They' ve added new AMV scenes, the ability to run, and to save anywhere on the worldmap. This was only released in North America.

Final Fantasy Anthology

Final Fantasy IV made it' s debute in Europe in the package Final Fantasy Anthology. At least, only in Europe and Austalia, because in North America Final Fantasy Anthology contained Final Fantasy 5 and 6, while in the PAL countries it cointained Final Fantasy 4 and 5.

Final Fantasy 4 Advance

Just like every other old Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy 4 got a Gameboy Remake, with a graphics and music overhaul. They' ve also restored the missing story holes, from the old versions. They' ve also added a new cave, containing bonus armours, and bonus bosses and quests. Like Zeromus EG, and Lunar summons ( Dark Aeons in FF10). They also gave each member a trial, which is specific for that party member.

Final Fantasy 4 DS

Just like with Final Fantasy 3, Final Fantasy 4 also was released on the Nintendo DS. They' ve kept the changes from advanced, but made it into 3D and with a touchscreen. They' ve also added new AMV' s, just liek with Final Fantasy 3.
