The Gulgan thus prophesied:

"The earthquake was only the beginning.

The Great tremors that swallowed the crystals, the light of our world, only to spawn monsters from the depths of the scarred land, are nothing but harbingers of what has yet to come.

Final Fantasy 3 was, just like Final Fantasy 2, originally not released outside of Japan. The Final Fantasy 3 from North America was in fact the same as the Japanese Final Fantasy 6. They called it Final Fantasy 3, because Only Final Fantasy 1 ,4 and 6 had been released in the States at that time, and they didn't want anyholes in the sequence. The first time America and Europe would see Final Fantasy 3 wouldn' t be untill 16 years later. Final Fantasy 3 (The Japanese one) was the first game to contain the Fat Chocobo and Moogles.

Square Enix finally released the real Final Fantasy 3 worldwide with this remake, after letting the USA and Europe wait for 16 years. They have completely remade the game in 3D, thus making it more appealing to play it. They have also added a background to the main characters, meaning a name, and a past, which lacked from the first game. They' ve also added cutscenes to the game, as well as the Mognet feature, to be able to interact all over the world.
