"This solitary young woman speaks little of herself-even her true name is a mystery. She is known to others simply as 'Lightning'."
A former sergeant of the Cocoon military, Lightning abandoned her birth name after the death of her parents. Formerly Eclair Farron, she discarded her identity as a way to rid herself of her weaknesses and vulrenabilities and to become a different person, a stronger person, who would be able to take care of her younger sister, Serah. Unfortunately, this choice has caused tensions to rise between the two sisters.
After learning that Serah has become an l'Cie, Lightning goes to Pulse to convince the fal'Cie to save her sister. Much to her dismay, Lightning is marked by the fal'Cie and becomes an l'Cie herself. Lightning's mark is in the center of her chest and as an l'Cie she gains the ability to summon the powerful Eidolin Odin. |
