Final Fantasy I Prologue

The Earth Rotted
The Sea's raged

The skies became vailed in darkness...

Final Fantasy I Releases

O riginal Version

Console:
1990
18/12/1987
12/06/1990
The original and first version of Final Fantasy 1, the first of a huge series, was meant to be the last game Square would have made. This was, because Square had to deal with bankruptcy, but creating Final Fantasy saved them from this unlucky fate. The game was actually amazingly simple to understand, but genious. The colors where mostly black and red, but those were regular on the Nintendo console back then. Square Enix' release of Final Fantasy 1 did not only save them, but as well started a new era.

F inal Fantasy Origins

Console: Playstation
08/04/2003
31/10/2002
14/03/2003
Final Fantasy Origins is a bundle, containing both games from the first Final Fantasy releases, Final Fantasy 1 and Final Fantasy 2. They re-coded it for the biggest part, but the graphics maintained from a previous release on the Wonderswan. The games futher stayed intact.

D awn of Souls

Console: GBA
03/12/2004
29/07/2004
29/11/2004
One year after the release of Final Fantasy Origins another package with Final Fantasy 1 and 2 has been released. Dawn of Souls is also a remake, however this version actually adds several new things. The graphics have been given an overhaul, and it looks very good, and the magic system also had little changes. Besides the gameplay changes, there have also been added a total of 5 new dungeons in which several new bosses await. The bosses in the first 4 dungeons, which open after killing a Element Fiend, are bosses from Final Fantasy 3-6, while the boss fight in the Chaos dungeon will in fact be an old familiar, just very more powerfull then you might expect.

A nniversary Re-make

Console: PSP
08/02/2008
19/04/2007
26/06/2007
In 2007-2008 Square Enix celebrates the Anniversary of the Final Fantasy franchise, and they decided to release yet another remake of Final Fantasy 1 ( and 2), this time not bundled. They created it for the Playstation Portable, and mainly took all the bonusses from Dawn of Souls. They have added new graphical effects, which look even better then Dawn of Souls, and they' ve added another bonus cave, besides the 5 I mentioned before, to this version. In this dungeon you will have to race against the clock. This version includes other music then it's proceders, as well as a new art gallery.
